Who is Brier Helping Brier?
Brier Helping Brier was created to provide support for struggling households within the Brier community that need help locating available resources or have already exhausted all the resources available to them. Our mission is to ensure that our community members’ essential needs are met by:
- Providing consolidated and up-to-date information about existing resources
- Creating networking connections to match individuals with assistance
- Offering monetary assistance to help residents secure and maintain employment and/or meet essential needs
- Getting the Brier community involved in helping their neighbors through volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and more
- Assessing where systemic barriers exist to families becoming self-sufficient (e.g. lack of childcare or reliable transportation) and helping to break down those barriers
- Nurturing social bonds and self-reliance within the community
