Join “Brier Helping Hands” today
Since Brier Helping Brier formed, the average amount of requested assistance has increased from around $500 per applicant in 2020 to over $1500 per applicant in 2022. Your neighbors have needed assistance with everything from food to rent to medical bills.
While Brier Helping Brier has enjoyed solid support from our community through our annual auction events, T-shirt sales, and more, we find ourselves in the position of needing to solidify some more sustainable fundraising income throughout the year.
To better serve our neighbors, we’re launching the “Brier Helping Hands” monthly giving drive.
From now through the month of February 2024, we hope to sign up as many Brierites as possible to support Brier Helping Brier with a monthly gift. Our goal is to have 20 people sign up to be monthly supporters.
Although you can pledge any amount, we offer the following tiers:
- $10/month
- $30/month
- $60/month
- $90/month
What is the impact of these gifts? Funds donated to Brier Helping Brier are used in many ways, depending on our neighbors’ specific needs. Here are a few examples of what your support could provide:
- $10/month for a year can cover 2 month’s of a neighbor’s water bill
- $30/month for a year can cover 2-3 month’s of a neighbor’s gas/electric bill
- $60/month for a year can cover a neighbor’s car repair
- $90/month for a year can cover a neighbor’s unexpected medical expense
