Brier Helping Brier primarily supports our neighbors in two ways:
- Locating and directing households toward existing resources in our community to help them overcome financial challenges, and
- Providing small cash grants (up to $1200 annually per household*).
If you’re having trouble with rent or utilities, need gas money to get to a job interview, or other similar financial challenges, we would like to try to help! Due to our small size we may not be able to completely meet all needs, but at least we hope to be able to ease some financial stress for our neighbors.
However, there are some things our organization is not able to do.
Due to the fact that we do not have storage space, we do not offer the ability to provide or participate in drives for clothing, coats, or similar. We are also not able to provide transportation to appointments, interviews, and such due to insurance concerns.
*We can make exceptions to this limit under some circumstances, but these requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.
