Help Us Eliminate School Lunch Debt for Local Students

For nearly five years, Brier Helping Brier has supported local families through tough times. Since 2023, that support has included paying off school lunch debt — ensuring every child can eat with dignity, no matter their family’s financial situation.

 

This year, we’re launching our first-ever Brier Feeding Brier event — a heartfelt evening dedicated to raising funds to erase lunch debt for students at our neighborhood schools.

Our Goal

We’re aiming to fully cover the 2024–2025 school lunch debt for:

  • Brier Elementary
  • Brier Terrace Middle School
  • Mountlake Terrace High School

We don’t plan to cover all school lunch debt, just lunch debt for families who qualify for reduced lunch, indicating that they are facing a situation of financial need. Last year, that total came to just over $5,700 — and with your help, we know we can hit (or exceed!) that number this year.

  • Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
  • Location: Brookview Church (Corner of 228th St SW & Brier Rd)
  • Cost: $50 per ticket (includes full dessert buffet and entertainment)
